Thanks

I learned lots. There are many sites that I will be going back to take a closer look at and also some that I will incorporate into my world. Thanks!

The End

Wow! I can't believe I actually got through this.

My MP3

As I mentioned before, I already have an Ipod. I also have an MP3 player. I actually have had it for a couple of years now, ever since the library got Downloadable Audiobooks. I have never used it because I realized I don't have the patience to listen to books. I read faster!

So, I have decided that I will have theme players. One for more energy music, one for older tunes, and one for others. I have varied taste, so this will be great!

Music makes the people come together

Did I just violate copyright?

I am all about free music, but nothing is really free. Even though we offer our services at the library for free, it is still paid by the residents of Orange County. I have a personal thing: I need to like at least 3 songs before I consider buying a CD. This is why my collection mainly consists of Greatest Hits, compilations, and movie soundtracks. Also, I just started using my Ipod recently, so my views on available music might change. But I have so many CDs now that I love, it would take a while for me to get new ones to listen to. That is what I use the radio for and in a few months, NOW will come out with the hits.

For my searching, I looked up Styx. It is what I am listening to at the moment. I get various "cravings" for music. I am kinda all over the board. LivePlasma was interesting about it. The bands around Styx, I have most of the CDs (not Rush, sorry Tom and Matthew). I also looked up Styx on Musicstands and was impressed to see that my favorite song of theirs was also #1 on Musicstrands: Renegade. Awesome!

It was easier than I thought it would be, and something that I would use more often. I have got to say, I have heard about many of these sites, but never went before this class.

Online learning...I took a few online classes in graduate school when I was getting my MLS. I did not like them as much as in person classes for two reason: participation scores and internet speed. I am not that great of a participator when it is online. Also at that time I had dial up.

For this course, thank God for the makeup weeks. I like to go at my own pace, i.e. when I have time to look at things.

I like Games

Sad thing is...I don't have many hobbies. I like to read, relax and visit with people. Guess I need to get a hobby. I am rarely bored; I used to drive my college roommate crazy.

I went to the two trivia sites. Really like Blufr. I could get addicted to that site. Had to stop myself. I also registered on the You Play site. I am not that great with crossword puzzles, unless it is in People magazine. I kill on those. On the You Play site, I played the trivia game. It asked some tough questions! But it said "well done".

Technology for Keeping Track

I have been hearing about Shelfari for months (thanks Edward). So, I finally joined. Have to say it made me a bit mad. I said that I did not want my yahoo address book used to contact people, but it did. And it sent out a second notice for my "friends" to join. But, the concept and site itself I liked. I added a couple of books. It would take me a very long time to put all of my books on my shelf. I also went to Guru Library and added a couple of DVDs to the list. This one I will use more, because I have less DVDs but a good size collection. I would like to keep a record of what I have.
